The Baltimore Bag Ban

The Baltimore Bag Ban Campaign was utilized just prior to the bag ban being implemented in Baltimore city. This series of reminders to Baltimore residents included facts, figures and…humor!

This minimalist campaign:

  • Uses a clever and humorous focus on the bag and it’s relationship to the user. This non-confrontational, non-shaming approach avoids putting viewers on the defense

  • “Bags only” visuals helped omit the cost of custom photography and the issue of what demographic to feature.

  • Simple bag-focused pictures coupled with bright, color field backgrounds allowed attract attention and focus on the message and not the setting
